Best-Rated 2013 Black Friday Mattress Deals

We just recently released our complete list of 2013 Black Friday mattress deals being offered online and in stores, but because sorting through dozens of beds can be quite time consuming, we have also curated the best deals and best-rated mattresses from this year’s sales. Keep reading to see the top picks based on quality, value, and consumer reviews for memory foam and innerspring beds.

Top-Rated Black Friday Mattress Deals for 2013

Getting a good deal feels great, which is why Black Friday is the busiest shopping holiday of the year – we all want to save! However, when it comes to a product you will be using daily and depending on for a good night’s rest, owner satisfaction is important as well. We researched each mattress on sale this year, looking for information on product quality, warranty and return-ability, owner reviews, and overall value. For each category, we’ve identified the best bets for savings and comfort, compared below.

Since our goal was to weed out the best offers, several Black Friday mattress deals failed to make the cut. Here are the criteria on which we compared deals to sort the good deals from the bad.

  • Is specification information available for the mattress? (i.e. coil count/type and layer information for spring beds, or foam density and layers for memory foam)
  • How do these specifications compare to other offerings in terms of quality and price?
  • Has this bed been on the market prior to Black Friday, or is it a one-time only promotional item? (promo items have no reviews and are more likely to be low-quality).
  • Are there any owner reviews for this mattress model and/or brand?
  • What do reviewers have to say about comfort, quality, durability, and value?
  • How do ratings compare to competing models?
  • What is the warranty offered and what is covered?
  • Is the mattress returnable, and how much does it cost to return?
